Izzo, the 2016 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, has an NCAA National Championship, six Big Ten Tournament titles, eight Final Four appearances, multiple National Coach of the Year awards and 10 regular-season Big Ten Championships on his resume. He has also guided his team to a Big Ten record of 24 straight NCAA tournament appearances.
It remains to be seen how this class will round out, but if it continues to trend in the direction it has been, it has the potential to accomplish special things in East Lansing.
“They want a big leap from me, too,” Akins said. “They want me to be one of the best defenders on the team and one of the best offensive players on the team.”
According to a release from the LA District Attorney's Office, Bridges is facing one felony count of injuring a child's parent and two felony counts of of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.
“It’s all about the hours you spend when no one is watching,” Kohler said.
Bridges was arrested and held on a $130,000 bond on June 29. He was released hours later after posting the bond, according to Los Angeles County Jail records. His next court date is July 20.
“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges,” the Charlotte Hornets said in a release. “We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
