Michigan State hockey dropped in the USCHO poll for the first time since it entered the rankings in November. The Spartans (12-9-1) fell three spots to No. 14 this week following losses to Ferris State and Michigan Tech in the Great Lakes Invitational last week.

After trailing 3-0 heading into first-period intermission, Michigan State hockey rallied to net two goals in the second period to trail Ferris State by one. The Spartans’ comeback efforts were not enough to stop the Bulldogs from putting up another goal in the third period extending its lead to a final score of 4-2.
