Coming off its first Big Ten Conference win against the Wisconsin Badgers on Jan. 26, the newly No. 25 ranked Michigan State wrestling team has begun preparations ahead of a weekend road trip. The team will begin by traveling to Illinois on Friday, Feb. 2, for a meet against the Fighting Illini and then heading to Indiana to face the Hoosiers on Sunday, Jan. 4.

Today, for the first time this 2023-2024 playoffs, Detroit will play on the road, traveling all the way to San Francisco, California. Coming off of a thrilling 3-2 comeback win against the Minnesota Golden Gophers last night, the Spartans welcome their Big Ten opponents back to Munn for night two to finish what they started and sweep the team, but with the rally in the third period from night one, the Spartans were never able to come back from their deficit and eventually took a 5-1 loss.

The Spartans had three goals in the third period, after trailing most of the game, to come back for a 3-2 win against the Gophers.
