Living Apart, Standing Together

On Tuesday afternoon, about 30 students and residents of the Lansing area braved the cold to protest Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak by the rock on Farm Lane. Students painted the rock as well as signs and shouted chants for several hours. Some students were Egyptian or from the Middle East and Africa, while others came to lend their support. The group spoke in Arabic as well as English. The rally was planned to be on the same day as the “March of Millions” in Egypt.
