—A weekend-long event for women is making its return to Lansing this weekend, focusing on personal style, wellness and inspiration.
Mid-Michigan’s largest consumer event for women, the Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo, will be held at the Lansing Center from Feb. 11 through Feb. 13. The expo will feature women-focused businesses and provide women and their families an opportunity to shop.
Held by Kohler Expos, Inc., the expo will feature fashion, jewelry and accessory boutiques and vendors in health and wellness, food, travel, finance and education. Kohler Expos President Pam Glass said in a press release this represents the “ultimate weekend shopping experience.”
The expo is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 6 to 14. Online tickets and information can be found at www.KohlerExpo.com or through Facebook at “Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo.”
“For many women in Mid-Michigan, this is a destination weekend that allows them to connect with friends and family while pampering themselves,” Glass said.
New this year, Mrs. America 2021 Jackie Blankenship will be sharing a presentation entitled “Confidence and a Belief of Purpose” on the main stage. Blankenship is the first woman from Michigan to earn the Mrs. America title.
Along with Blankenship’s, there will be other main stage presentations, as well as interactive activities including on-site painting classes with Paint Your Poison, meet and greets with local authors and automobile showings from Shaheen Cadillac.
