A big part of the film was the writing.

“It was taking a lot of the parts that we enjoyed about horror films from the 70s and 80s, especially slasher films,” Winterstein, who is the president and creative lead of Evil Twin Digital, said. “We’ve done dramas and hyper speech stuff, traditionally taking things, action or comedy, and trying to make it more inclusive and equitable and trying to make sure people get paid for what they do.” 

Winterstein graduated in May 2021 with a major in media and information and a minor in film studies. He said he stuck around to help the production team with their creative film ideas.

Evil Twin Digital is currently fundraising to support their latest feature film “Shock Jockey Massacre.” The modern-day slasher film follows a team of college students as they try to survive the night with a serial killer.

“This is something that has good morals,” Isabella, who is the vice president of production and management, said.“It’s mostly post-production expenses as well as some lingering costs from the initial production ... things like posters and scores and things like that. These artistic things that people need to be commissioned for.” 

Currently, their goal is to raise $6,000. They hope to have the money raised by March 13 with the film releasing sometime this year. In the meantime, Evil Twin Digital will be posting small previews of “Shock Jockey Massacre” on all social media platforms leading up to the release.
