Michigan State women's basketball's Wednesday matchup at Indiana has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within Indiana's program, according to announcement from the Hoosiers on Twitter. Both teams will work to reschedule the game a later date this season.

This marks the second time this season the Spartans have had to postpone a Big Ten conference game due to COVID-19 protocols. Michigan State is still looking to make up a game at Northwestern that was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Wildcats program.

While the Spartans haven't had to postpone a game because of outbreaks in their program, MSU Head Coach Suzy Merchant was unavailable to coach Sunday against Northwestern and would have been out against Indiana due to being placed in COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

MSU will most likely use this extended break from play to prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Gophers at home on Jan. 23.
