Men's basketball moves to No. 2 in latest AP poll

Men's basketball jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 in the latest AP poll released Monday, after a week in which the top three ranked teams suffered defeats.

Then-No. 1 Villanova was upset by St. Johns on Wednesday, then-No. 2 Virginia fell to in-state foe Virginia Tech on Saturday and then-No. 3 Purdue lost a close battle with the Spartans over the weekend, a few days after blowing a double-digit second half lead to then-No. 14 Ohio State.

The Buckeyes are the only other Big Ten team to rise in the rankings, going to No. 8 Boilermakers fell three spots No. 6 and the Wolverines fell to No. 22.
