State News to continue to evolve in changing news environment

May 13, 2012

The rapidly evolving media climate has forced newspapers worldwide to think outside of the box to give its readers the news they count on.

The flexibility and accessibility of the Internet has paved the way for exciting new forms of storytelling and The State News is fully embracing the change.

This summer at The State News is about growth during a time of transition and experimentation.

With a new staff comes new ideas, and this summer we will explore these ideas to offer our readers a more dynamic and compelling product.

Although during the summer we only print three times during the week — Monday, Tuesday and

Thursday — we remain committed to covering the East Lansing community every single day, with stories finding a home on the web rather than the rack.

Check statenews.com daily, follow us on Twitter @thesnews and become a fan of our Facebook page to find the latest breaking news and content.

Here at The State News, we are not afraid of the changes taking place within journalism and we will continue to provide the same reliable content to you, the reader, no matter the medium.
