MSU station to host farm workshop

The MSU W.K. Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners will hold a one-day workshop for farmers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Participants will learn how to differentiate store dairy farm products from their own and how to learn effective marketing strategies.

Event presenters include Amy Brown, from the Michigan Department of Agriculture; Anne Cavanagh, from Mattawan Creamery; Tom Kalchik, associate director of the MSU Product Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources; Kevin Kiehnau, from Organic Valley Farms; John Partridge, a food science and human nutrition associate professor; Chad Pawlak, from Grass Point Farms; and Doug Westendorp, from MOO-ville Creamery.

Event registration fee costs between $25 and $30.
