MSU sophomore Bianca Mejia will join the USA Junior Women's National Softball Team at the ISF Junior Women's Fast Pitch World Championships.

The tournament will take place June 20-30 in Enschede, Netherlands, with the United States playing its first game against Puerto Rico at 9 a.m. June 22.

Mejia helped lead the United States to victory in the 2006 Junior Women's Pan American Championships with a team-high 15 hits. The team clinched the top advancing spot from the Pan American Region as the only undefeated team in tournament play.

Incoming freshman Heidi Purtzer also will be competing at the ISF Championships for the Canadian Junior Women's National Team.
