The MSU softball team could not get going offensively against 2007 Big Ten Pitcher of the Year Eileen Canney and the Northwestern Wildcats Thursday.
The team fell 4-0 in the first round of the Big Ten Championship Tournament in Columbus, Ohio. MSU is now 33-26 in the season.Junior starting pitcher Lesley Noel pitched effectively for MSU, recording eight strikeouts while giving up six hits and two earned runs. The strikeout total was one away from her career high.
