Number crunching

10: The number of wins that the women's basketball team had during head coach Joanne P. McCallie's first season at MSU in 2000-2001. The 10-18 record has improved quite a bit, since McCallie's 2004-2005 team ended with 33-4 and it is currently 20-8, as of Wednesday.

23: The number that freshman guard Maurice Joseph wears. Known as "MoJo," this freshman is the first Canadian player to sport the Green and White since David Thomas, who was the captain in 2000-2001.

10.6: The number of steals that the women's basketball team is averaging over the season, which is second in the conference. This statistic reflects the defensive pressure the Spartans have applied to many teams this season, helping them make many of their signature second-half comebacks.

26: The number of points that senior guard Maurice Ager scored Wednesday night against Ohio State. Even though the Spartans fell 68-79, this was Ager's first 20-plus scoring performance since Feb. 4.
