The MSU men's and women's basketball teams are opening their arms to fans and students at its annual Midnight Mania event to kick off the 2004-05 season.

Fans and students will have the chance to get autographs from coaches and players at 10:30 p.m. when Breslin Center's doors open on Oct. 15.

Just before the morning hours, both basketball teams will be introduced, which will then lead to an after midnight scrimmage game. Both men's and women's teams will be playing, launching the preseason practice.

Besides the glitz and glamour of meeting and watching Spartans favorites, promotional giveaways and performances by Spartan Brass, MSU Cheerleaders and the MSU Dance Team are among other features that will be active at the midnight mania kick off.

Sparty also will be in attendance.
