I would just like to share one small fact with Drew Olson (Bush should not be our president, SN 2/9), and the several hundred other students on this campus who are frustrated over the presidential election. George W. Bush is the president of the United States.
Love him or hate him, accept it or not, it doesnt matter. He was sworn in, and except under extreme circumstances, he will be the president for the next four years. You can cry about it, protest it, even deny it - Bush is the president of the United States.
Olson claims that Bush is not his president. Does Olson have citizenship in another country? If not, sorry Drew, but Bush is the president of the United States.
What are you going to do? Put your fingers in your ears and babble for the next four years?
So please, all of those opposed to Bushs presidency, accept it, deny it or decry it. Just please stop writing to The State News about it. Grass is green, water is wet and Bush is the president of the United States.
