Student government groups have allocated several thousand dollars to student groups since Nov. 8:
At its Nov. 8 meeting, the Residence Halls Association allocated $500 to the Wilson Hall government. The money was used to purchase recreational equipment, including an air hockey table and ping pong table for student use.
At the same meeting, RHA also allotted $700 to the Butterfield Hall government to help cover the cost of Brody Complex Homecoming events that took place the weekend of Oct. 13. Some expenses included a powder puff football game and a float in the parade.
ASMSUs Student Assembly allocated $700 from its special projects account during its Nov. 16 meeting to purchase gifts for the Adopt-A-Child program organized by the Freshman Class Council. ASMSU is MSUs undergraduate student government.
At the same meeting, Student Assembly also approved up to $375 from the special projects account for three textbook tax relief rallies.
