Bus service slow transporting U

This morning I woke up bright and early to go wait outside for Capital Area Transportation Authority route 20-S to take me to campus. Ten minutes later, I was still waiting. Another 10 minutes later, with the clock creeping toward 7:30 a.m., I was still waiting. Finally, at 7:35 a.m., I gave up and realized the bus was never going to arrive and I was going to be late again.

So, thanks to CATA’s record of “reliable” service, I have been late for my on-campus job, I’ve missed classes where attendance constitutes as a major portion of my grade, and I’ve been left standing in the rain, waiting for an hour and a half to go home after a long day of work and classes because of the bus service.

I’m writing this letter to call CATA’s attention to this problem so that it can propose a solution. I’ve tried calling the main offices to discuss its unreliability on numerous occasions, but that was about as useful as going to my back yard and talking to a rock, as it succeeded in nothing but transferring me from department to department and then being disconnected. I hope that CATA will do something to make its 20-S route more reliable so that I’m not the individual left looking irresponsible for missing work, class or an exam.
