SN should have endorsed Rogers

I was troubled recently to read of the State News endorsement of U.S. House of Representatives candidate Dianne Byrum (SN10/24). I think that if the paper had really investigated Mike Rogers, it would have immediately known that he was the man for the job.

While Byrum’s every policy follows the Democratic Party’s platform down to the very letter, Roger’s ideas show his qualifications to be this district’s representative.

Rogers is not a career politician. He served in our armed forces and then became an FBI agent, investigating corruption. After taking part in the arrest of a senator for abuse of office, Rogers felt he could make a difference if he entered the world of politics. He entered and won his first election.

Now, as a state senator, he has an excellent opportunity to serve this district and serve it well in the U.S. House. With his priorities being education, social security, the military and others, Rogers knows what America needs. Furthermore, after working with the man for just one day, I know he is a person who is inspiring and committed to making a difference in the life of every American. Check him out yourself at www.rogers4congress.com.

Please vote for Rogers on Nov. 7 for the U.S. House.
