U helped reader out in accident

On Sept. 20 of this year I was in a little bicycle mishap. It happened at or around 10:15 a.m. while I was biking up Farm Lane, near Service Road on my way to the commuter lot. My bike chain slipped, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground. While this is a pretty desolate area to get into an accident, four or five men stopped to help me. I was bleeding profusely from above my eye and my hand had been hurt as well.

One nice young man called 911 for me and another one gave me his Hard Rock Cafe shirt. To the man that gave me his shirt, I am sorry you sacrificed your shirt, but I thank you tremendously. Another man stopped his car to make sure that I was OK, while another rubbed my back and comforted me until the ambulance arrived.

To all those who stopped, thank you so much for caring and not just staring and walking away. I don't know how I would have gotten the medical help that I received without you. It is nice to know that on a campus as large as this, people do care and look out for one another.

Thank you also to the nice officer that helped and to the ambulance technicians.
