Winter Glow festival comes to downtown East Lansing

December 3, 2014

Winter break is around the corner and the festivities loom closer every day.

Before students head home, East Lansing will celebrate its annual Winter Glow festival in downtown East Lansing on Dec. 6.

A reindeer-petting zoo, ice carving and an outdoor holiday farmer's market will be featured in this year's winter-themed festival.

More than 30 businesses in downtown East Lansing will open their doors on Dec. 5 – 6 for the Green Friday — a city version of the Black Friday sales.

The activities will be from 2 – 5 p.m. and will have no cost to participate in them.

Music Tent

The Jingle Jam Music Tent will host performers from 2 – 4:45 p.m.

Pat Zalenka, Kathleen and the Bridge Street Band and John Latini will perform in the heated tent.

Santa Claus is coming to town

The red and white big guy and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel in downtown East Lansing.
