Female student allegedly sexually assaulted in Williams Hall

March 19, 2014

A 19-year-old female student was allegedly sexually assaulted between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. on Monday in Williams Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

McGlothian-Taylor said the two allegedly met on St. Patrick's Day outside of a local establishment, where they exchanged phone numbers. The two met up later at the victim's residence, where after a conversation the victim was allegedly assaulted. Police believe alcohol was involved.

Police have made contact with the suspect, who is not an MSU student. The suspect told police the sex was consensual.

The case is still under investigation.
