A young male was hit by a car at the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Division Street shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday.
Special education sophomore Cari Otis saw the accident and called 911. Otis said the driver of the car said she thought the brakes went out on her car, causing her to hit the victim as he was crossing the street.
Otis said the victim didn’t lose consciousness and was communicating with her after he was hit.
The man reportedly has minor injuries and was taken to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital to be examined.
The accident is under investigation and names have yet to be released, said East Lansing police Sgt. Chad Connelly.
