Look out below: Police investigating falling debris at Olds Hall

April 15, 2013

The sky is falling.

MSU police responded to a complaint Sunday of debris outside the front entrance to Olds Hall and further investigations suggested gray concrete blocks were thrown off the building’s roof.

MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said officers searching the area found broken concrete on the sidewalk on the east side and directly in front of the building.

They also found an unbroken concrete block on the grass on the east side of the building and several missing blocks on the roof.

Damage was estimated at $200 and MSU’s Physical Plant was contacted to handle the debris and blocks.

McGlothian-Taylor said an individual likely gained access to the roof and threw the blocks. She said there are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
