Michigan universities' networks unresponsive

Update, 10 a.m.: MSU IT Services report the issue has been resolved and appears to have been an problem with Merit Network. Check back later for more information.

The computer networks for several major Michigan universities experienced problems around midnight Wednesday after Merit Network, the Internet Service Provider, reported difficulties.

Students at schools including MSU, the Univeristy of Michigan and Central Michigan University all reported issues accessing the Internet.

A representative with Merit Network said they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution around 12:15 a.m.
