Psychology senior found dead Monday

November 28, 2011

Psychology senior Nick Charboneau was found dead at about 3 p.m. Monday in his home at 279 Milford Street, East Lansing police Sgt. Mark VandeWouwer said.

VandeWouwer said the investigators believe Charboneau died sometime during the night, but they do not believe foul play was involved.

Charboneau’s roommate, human biology senior Sara Wennersten, found him on his bedroom floor and discovered he was not breathing. Wennersten called 911, but by the time paramedics arrived, they determined he had died, East Lansing Fire Marshal Bob Pratt said.

The East Lansing Police Department has some evidence as to what the cause of death might have been, but they plan to wait until autopsy results come back before making any definitive statements, VandeWouwer said. Officials expect the autopsy results in 6-8 weeks.
