Not According to Plan
Added 11/04/09 9:54pmAfter divorcing his wife and losing his kids, Daniel “Tennessee” Berry found himself homeless. He decided to follow his friend’s advice and move to Michigan to find a place to live. After he could no longer live with his friend, he found himself at the Volunteers of America Homeless Shelter, 430 N. Larch St., in Lansing. Tennessee doesn’t see himself as a spiritual man, but thinks that God plays a large role in his daily life. He found an opportunity to drive donation trucks while also volunteering at the shelter’s kitchen. He said he doesn’t like having a plan for his future because nothing ever goes according to plan.
