Camping with Izzo
Basketball players and coaches met with students at the Izzone Campout, which lasted from early Saturday morning to early Sunday morning at Munn Field. Players mingled with student supporters, in many cases playing games and signing autographs. Each player addressed the large group of fans, which was estimated to be close to 2,000, and several talked about last season’s Final Four run. Fans were disappointed, however, when head coach Tom Izzo said he doesn’t plan to shave his head after promising last fall that he would do so if the Spartans won the Big Ten.
