Interesting starters for MSU

By: Matt Bishop Posted: 09/26/09 11:20am

The starters have been announced for MSU’s game with Wisconsin today and there are some interesting notes.

Sophomore Keshawn Martin will join senior Blair White as the starters at wide receiver, senior Joel Nitchman will move from center to left guard and junior John Stipek will remain at center. Sophomore Joel Foreman will dress but will not start. Redshirt freshman Caulton Ray will start at running back and sophomore Kirk Cousins will start at quarterback.

On defense, junior Jon Misch will start at linebacker in place of freshman Chris Norman, who was listed on as the starter all week. At strong safety, junior Roderick Jenrette will start in place of junior Marcus Hyde. As expected, senior Kendell Davis-Clark will start at boundary corner in place if junior Chris L. Rucker.
