MSU student arrested after hitting U.S. Sen. Levin in face with pie

An MSU anthropology senior was arrested on assault and battery charges earlier today after she allegedly hit U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., in the face with a pie at a Big Rapids eatery.
Ahlam Mohsen is being held in Mecosta County Jail and has not yet been arraigned on the charges.
Levin was meeting with a group of about 50 mostly Democratic constituents at Peppers Café and Deli in Big Rapids, said Sgt. Jeff Jennings of the Big Rapids Police Department.
During a question and answer session, a man who identified himself as a student began reading a long statement accusing Levin of war crimes. After he finished, Mohsen approached Levin and hit him with the pie.
Levin is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
“I hold meetings like this morning’s so I can hear the views of Michiganians, and I’m more than willing to hear from people who disagree with me,” Levin said in a press release statement following the incident. “They didn’t hurt me, but they hurt their cause even more than their own extreme words had already done.”
In January 2009, Mohsen, the man involved in today’s incident and a student from Ferris State University were arrested at one of Levin’s offices after staging a sit-in protest. The students had hoped to talk to the senator about cutting off military assistance to Israel, among other things.

They tried to throw a pie at Ann Coulter some years ago, but the lefty sissy ran on stage like a girl, threw like a girl, and ran off like a girl when the Conservative students union stood up and blocked him. Missed completely and looked queer throwing it.

What is with people not reading the article and assuming that this was politically motivated? She is a pro-palestine, anti-israel muslim that, in the past, has claimed to support the islamic jihad and blames the US for the palestinians “suffering”.
