Alliance of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Students to host community discussion
The Alliance of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Students will be hosting a community discussion at 7 p.m. on Sunday in 103 Erickson Hall.
The discussion will be about the future of the alliance in Michigan after the Supreme Court ruled this summer that public institutions cannot offer domestic partnership benefits to employees.
A panel of nine people will share their ideas about the ruling and answer questions from the public. Panelists include state legislators Mark Meadows and Lorence Wenke, Jay Kaplan from the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan and the director of the MSU LBGT Resource Center, Brent Bilodeau.
For more information, e-mail the alliance at alliance@msu.edu.
