Basketball tickets go on sale today for MSU vs. North Carolina

Although the MSU men’s basketball season is miles away, a game such as MSU vs. North Carolina at Ford Field in Detroit makes the hype feel as if it is just around the corner.

The public can purchase tickets (ranging from $9 to $139) starting today at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (248) 645-6666.

The Spartan Athletic Ticket Office confirmed discounted student tickets will go on sale at an unknown date in September, but if students want a guaranteed seat assigned to them, Ticketmaster is currently their destination for purchases.

MSU holds a 3-7 overall record against the Tar Heels dating back to 1957. In their last meeting, the Spartans were knocked out of the NCAA Tournament after a 81-67 loss on March 17, 2007, at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.
