Who cares about PSU? We’re talking about MSU leading the way in Nuclear technology. I just hope I don’t start glowing if I hang out in E.L too much when the thing is built haha.

Michigan State leaves Penn State in the dust when it comes to nuclear physics. How is PSU even relevant here?

I hope federal funding evaporates. The Department of Energy causes more harm than good in the economy. People don’t seem to realize that most of that money isn’t paying for revolutionary technology that is going to give us great standards of living. Rather, the vast majority of the proposed funding is going to pay the salaries of deceitful graduate students and researchers so they can stuff their faces. Scientific research in America has become merely a transfer of wealth from the working class to the story tellers and liars.

Call me when you need an MRI or PET scan designed by a $25k a year grad student, or are you one of those tools who thinks the world is 6000yrs old?

This isn’t nuclear science as in nuclear reactors and nuclear engineering. This is nuclear science as in high energy particle physics, something that only MIT exceeds MSU in. We need this facility to stay on top of that field in the years to come.

Admit it, it would be freaking awesome to get a nuclear reactor on campus. Not one of those puny research ones, but an honest to god Three Mile Island style reactor. Talk about going Green!

Crono—This facility would create hundreds of jobs in just the construction alone, and not to mention employ people to fix machines and build parts, is that what you consider working class?
