Court dates set for local, MSU-related crimes committed in 2006
Below are updates for ongoing court cases with East Lansing and MSU ties:
The following three men were charged in connection with a Feb. 23 assault in a South Hubbard Hall dorm room where three men said they were threatened with a handgun. Charges against the men include home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, felonious assault and using a firearm while committing a felony.

Holt was sentenced Nov. 29.
An off-duty East Wilson Hall night receptionist was assaulted at about 3 a.m. on Aug. 27. A Richmond man is being charged in connection with the incident.

Charge: Assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder

Next scheduled court appearance: The case is set for trial at the end of January.
A former MSU police officer and program presenter for MSU's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering turned himself in to authorities Oct. 24 after a statewide search.
The man was wanted in connection with the death of his wife, Catherine Holmes, who was shot and killed Oct. 20 inside her car at the Okemos MSU Federal Credit Union.

Six MSU football players were dismissed or suspended from the team and four of them were charged in connection with three separate assaults.
