As MSU students head out of town for Thanksgiving this week, likely to enjoy a turkey feast in the spirit of American holidays, they will join President Barack Obama in celebrating a quintessential American holiday.
The White House released President Barack Obama’s Thanksgiving proclamation Tuesday, a tradition declaring the formal observance of the holiday and calling on the nation to give thanks.
“As many pause to lend a hand to those in need, we are also reminded of the indelible spirit of compassion and mutual responsibility that has distinguished our nation since its earliest day,” Obama is expected to say.
Then the POTUS and his family will dig into a traditional turkey dinner — which, according to the Mainline Times, also will include oyster stuffing, macaroni and cheese and six types of pie.
