Montague, Cope collect postseason honors

The accolades have been rolling in for the MSU men’s soccer team (11-9-1 overall, 4-3-0 Big Ten), as two players were named to separate team of the weeks.

Topdrawersoccer.com named junior defenseman Kevin Cope to its team after he won Big Ten Tournament Defensive MVP on Sunday evening.

Cope also received Second Team All Big Ten honors.

Sophomore forward Adam Montague was named to College Soccer News’ National Team of the Week after netting a goal in each of MSU’s Big Ten Tournament games. In addition, Montague received First Team All Big Ten honors.

Following a Big Ten Tournament Championship with a 2-1 overtime win over Michigan, MSU made it onto topdrawersoccer.com’s college soccer rankings at No. 29
