Moster earns conference honors after successful weekend

By Caleb Nordgren          Posted: 09/03/12 8:58pm

After their second-straight weekend tournament title of the year, MSU volleyball got some more good news, as sophomore libero Kori Moster was named Big Ten co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Moster received the University of Connecticut Classic MVP after leading the Spartans to three consecutive wins in straight sets, tallying a total of 52 digs in the three matches to go along with seven service aces. MSU defeated Fairfield, Dartmouth and host Connecticut over the weekend.

This is the second time in her career Moster has been honored by the Big Ten. She received the same award in October of last season.

Tori Dixon of Minnesota shares Defensive Player of the Week honors with Moster.
