As news circulated MSU was passed up for U-M in its bowl game Sunday — the Spartans heading to the Holiday Bowl, Wolverines to Outback — there were some murmurs on the Internet.

Some Spartans weren't happy with that. And as head coach Mark Dantonio took the podium, he took the inevitable question of his thoughts on the matter.

"The records are what they are," Dantonio said. "I’ll just continue to concentrate on beating Michigan and let things sort of sort out."

Then U-M head coach Jim Harbaugh clapped back over Twitter.

No love lost, the rivalry renews again on Oct. 20, 2018, when the Wolverines visit East Lansing for another classic bout.

And not to be outdone, Dantonio responded to Harbaugh's tweet.

Dantonio reached a ways back, quoting himself from 2007, his famous words following MSU's 28-24 defeat that season. Since then, the Spartans have defeated the Wolverines eight out of 10 tries, including this year's 14-10 victory.
