LJ Scott arrested for driving without valid license

October 20, 2017

Junior running back LJ Scott was arrested Wednesday for driving without a valid license, the Lansing State Journal reports

The arrest comes a week removed from Scott recording career highs in rushing yards and carries against Minnesota.

The 21-year-old was later released on a personal recognizance bond but has not yet been arraigned.

Prior to Wednesday's incident, Scott, a native of Hubbard, Ohio, was charged at least six other times for driving without or on a suspended license.

Scott, who leads the team in rushing with 408 yards, has at least one prior conviction on the same charge, so he could face up to a year in jail if convicted.

It is not certain if Scott will play in the Spartans’ game vs. Indiana this weekend.
