An attorney will ask a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to quash a deposition subpoena related to a lawsuit filed by a former U.S. national team gymnast against Nassar, USA Gymnastics, former USA Gymnastics president Steve Penny and other USA Gymnastics officials in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The attorney, Scott Lee Shabel, represents Don Peters, a former Olympic gymnastics coach who is banned for life from the sport for alleged sexual abuse. The deposition subpoena is for Peters.
The deposition subpoena was issued in April and is scheduled for June 8.
