Softball series against Illinois moved to Davenport
MSU Athletic Communications announced in a statement on Wednesday this weekend's softball series between MSU and Illinois has been moved because of excess flooding of the Red Cedar River adjacent to Secchia Softball Stadium and the Old College Field complex.
The series will now be played at Davenport University's Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. According to the release, Davenport is located southeast of Grand Rapids, about an hour drive from East Lansing.
The Spartans will play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
