MSU police advise chemical spill at Munn Ice Arena

Update 2:30 p.m.: MSU police Capt. Doug Monette said the chemical spill has been contained and the chemical leaking from Munn Ice Arena was ammonia. He said the area has been evacuated and the cause is currently being investigated. 

MSU police are reporting a chemical release at Munn Ice Arena, according to an alert sent out Thursday afternoon. 

Police ask individuals to avoid the area until further notice and Chestnut Road between Shaw Lane and Dem Hall Road is shut down.
