William J. Beal Outstanding Faculty Awards:
Dànielle Nicole DeVoss, College of Arts and Letters, Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures. DeVoss has served on 28 master's level committees and 32 doctoral committees. She has received national and international prominence in the field of rhetoric and writing.
Steve W. J. Kozlowski, College of Social Science, Psychology. His research focuses on the design of active learning systems to train adaptive skills.
Punya Mishra, College of Education, Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education. Mishra is an international scholar who studies understanding how teachers effectively integrate technology into instruction.
Brian T. Pentland, Eli Broad College of Business, Accounting and Information Systems. Pentland's research focuses on organizational routines supported by the National Science Foundation.
Hayder Radha, College of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering. Radha is an expert of signal processing and data communications used to analyze social networks and their data.
Milton R. Smith, College of Natural Science, Chemistry. His research on catalytic transformations of carbon-hydrogen bonds has garnered support from the National Science Foundation and Nationals Institutes of Health.
Sandra Snow, College of Music, Conducting and Music Education. Snow serves as a choral conductor and has been invited to conduct honor choirs in nearly every state in the U.S.
Patricia A. Soranno, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Fisheries and Wildlife. Soranno is a researcher in the fields of landscape limnology and macrosystems ecology. She studies the causes of excess nutrients in freshwater in addition to the consequences.
George W. Sundin, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences. Sundin's self-developed research program studies the development of plant diseases. He has published 93 peer-reviewed journal articles.
Mark Voit, College of Natural Science, Physics and Astronomy. Voit is a co-author of an introductory textbook in astronomy and astrophysics. His research on the thermodynamic properties of the hot gas in groups of galaxies has led to groundbreaking conclusions on said gas.
