YouTube star and MSU alumnus to speak at the Wharton Center

YouTube star and MSU alumnus Tyler Oakley is coming to campus on Feb. 17, Oakley said on Twitter. 

The 26-year-old Jackson, MI native and influential LGBT vlogger will host the event at 7 p.m. at the Pasant Theatre in the Wharton Center.

Oakley graduated from MSU in 2011 with a degree in Communication. He recently published a book titled "Binge," which is a collection of funny and personal essays. 

Student tickets are free at the Wharton Center Ticket Office and are not available online. Each student must show their student ID and the limit is two tickets per student.

Public ticket sales begin on Jan. 22. The event is presented by Innovate State Speaker Series, a "program designed to connect forward-thinking speakers with students and professionals interested in innovation and entrepreneurship," according to website.
