Police respond to illegal use of credit card, marijuana possession and more

Illegal use of credit card

Two 18-year-old female roommates in Rather Hall had a disagreement involving one's use of the other's credit card, meriting police intervention. One suspected the other of using her credit card between Oct. 8 and Oct. 11. The case has been forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Possession of marijuana

Between 2:46 a.m. and 3:07 a.m. on Oct. 12, an 18-year-old male student was found by police with marijuana just west of Armstrong Hall. Police were in the area at the time and arrested him with possession. The case has been forwarded to the Ingham County Prosector's Office for review.

Simple assault

On Oct. 11 at 12:11 a.m., two acquaintances were the involved in an assault. A 19-year-old male student allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old female student by pushing her at East McDonel Hall. She suffered no injuries and the case is being forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Accident

At the Amtrack Station on Harrison Road, an 80-year-old female from Bath Township, fell and reported hip and leg pain on Oct. 9 at 3:30 a.m. She was transported to Sparrow Hospital.

Entry without permission

Three witnesses, a 43-year-old female, a 53-year-old male and a 28-year-old female reported seeing an 18 to 30-year-old male exiting the janitorial break room in the College of Engineering on Oct. 9 at 3:50 a.m. He was described as being tall, white and skinny. The witnesses reported a crack in the window and screen as well as damage to the carpet. The case is still under investigation by the MSU police.
