Retail fraud

At the Sparty's in the Biomedical and Physical Sciences building, a 22-year-old female employee reported to police a theft of baked goods. On Oct. 6 between 2:25 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. the suspect, a 5 foot six inch male with black hair, wavy and tied in a bun, placed goods into his bag, was called out by the employee and paid for one item before fleeing. The case is still under investigation.

Car accident

On Oct. 5 at 9:50 p.m. at the intersection of Shaw Lane and Hagadorn Road two vehicles were involved in an accident. The first vehicle, a 2001 Dodge Stratus, driven by a 22-year-old male from Williamsburg was stopped and a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 24-year-old male from Haslett, rear-ended him. He claimed he misjudged the stopping distance. The first driver's car suffered severe damage to the rear bumper, while the Jeep had no damage.
