MSU's Open Mic Night allows students to showcase incredible talents

October 12, 2015

MSU’s Open Mic Night offers students a fun chance to showcase their talents in an informal environment and provide entertainment their peers.

“It gives people an escape of the stresses of everyday academics and school life” senior hospitality business student Hannah Schroeder and the University Activities Board's music director.

The open mic night provides students with an opportunity to not only express their own creativity, but to appreciate others as well.

“It’s a great place to meet a whole bunch of different talents, great artists all around” 2015 MSU graduate Resheid Jackson said.

The free event takes place bi weekly on Tuesdays at the MSU Union, interested students may sign up to perform at the event. The next Open Mic Night will be Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 — 11:30pm in the Union’s main lobby.

Check out highlights and interviews with performers from the most recent Open Mic Night, held on Oct. 6.
