In a strong performance at last weekend, MSU's Formula Racing team fared well in the 2015 Formula SAE Michigan competition, according to a statement.

The team, which must fund, design, market, and ultimately race their own cars, is made up entirely of students, many of whom are from the College of Engineering.

The race was held on May 13 - May 16 at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.

MSU's SR15 received 10th place in for the the FEV Powertrain Award and finished 11th overall, out of more than 100 teams. The University of Florida placed first in the FEV Powertrain Award and the overall winner was Graz Technical University in Austria.

Their next competition is on June 17 at the Lincoln Airpark in Nebraska.
