Tickets on sale for Bill Maher's October Wharton Center performance

February 20, 2015

American political satirist Bill Maher will bring his political humor, shown on his show, HBO's "Real Time," to MSU later this year.

Public sale tickets starts Feb. 20 for his performance at the Wharton Center in Cobb Hall on Oct. 10. Tickets start at $29.50 and can be purchased from Live Nation

Maher last visited MSU in the summer of 2012.

The New York native is known for his commentary, via broadcast and radio, discussing topics, including Obamacare and anti-vaccination advocates. He tends to make jokes about popular news items, including the Bill Cosby's domestic abuse charges and Brian Williams inaccurate claims, with a pointedly liberal bent.

In addition to hosting "Real Time," Maher is known for hosting ABC's "Politically Incorrect" that aired through 2002. He has earned various Emmy awards and nominations during his career for primetime entertainment. On top of being a stand-up comedian and news host, Maher has written four best sellers.
