East Lansing, Michigan, known as the home of the Michigan State Spartans, can now be known as one of the elite football hotspots in the country.

In a recent ranking list from wallethub.com, a website focused on personal financial resources, East Lansing ranked in as the second-best city in the country for football fans. The only city that beat out East Lansing was Green Bay, Wisconsin, the home of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers.

wallethub.com came to these results by carefully judging 142 U.S cities by 11 separate metrics, which included game attendance, team success, ticket prices, etc.

What makes East Lansing’s ranking even sweeter is the fact that it’s ranking beat out every other city in the state of Michigan. Ann Arbor, home of MSU’s historic rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, finished 29th on the list and Detroit, home of the NFL’s Detroit Lions and Wayne State University, finished 53rd.

Mt. Pleasant— home of Central Michigan— finished 74th, Ypsilanti— home of Eastern Michigan— finished 92nd, and Kalamazoo— home of Western Michigan —finished 111th on the ranking list.
