Death of student Jiayi Dai ruled an accident due to acute alcohol intoxication, had .415 BAC at time of death

The toxicology report for Jiayi Dai, an MSU freshman from China who died this August, has revealed that her death was an accident.

Dai's death was due to acute alcohol intoxication and her blood alcohol level was .415 at the time of her death.

The ELPD responded to an unresponsive person call at 7:45 on Saturday, August 23 and medical personnel determined Dai was deceased upon arrival. Dai was 19 years old at the time of her death and had just recently moved to East Lansing from Beijing.
